Frequently Asked Questions
S.H.E. is an abbreviation for Sidetracked Home Executives, a system
of home management taken from the book of the same name written by Pam Young and Peggy
Jones. Other terms you may hear include Sidetracked, SHE cards and Slob Sisters.
They refer to concepts presented by Young and Jones in their books.
Early in the 1990's, a group interested in the S.H.E. concept formed
on the Prodigy Online Service. Cynthia Townley Ewer, a long-time S.H.E.
user, wrote a weekly column illustrating different aspects of the system. 21 of
these essays have been collected and reprinted here. They're designed to help new
S.H.E. users learn how to set up and operate the cardfile system.
